മലയാളിയെ ചിരിപ്പിച്ചും ചിന്തിപ്പിച്ചും കഥകള് പറഞ്ഞ ശ്രീനിവാസന് കേരളത്തിന്റെ യാത്രാമൊഴി. തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറ കണ്ടനാട്ടെ വീട്ടുവളപ്പില് സംസ്ഥാന സര്ക്കാരിന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ബഹുമതികളോടെയാണ് സംസ്കാരം. സംസ്കാര ചടങ്ങിനിടെ സംവിധായകന് സത്യന് അന്തിക്കാട് പേനയും പേപ്പറും ഭൗതികശരീരത്തില് വച്ചു.
'എന്നും എല്ലാവര്ക്കും നന്മമാത്രം നേരട്ടെ' എന്നെഴുതിയ കുറിപ്പും പേനയുമാണ് ഭൗതികശരീരത്തില് വച്ചത്. ശ്രീനിവാസനുമായി ഏറെ സൗഹൃദമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന സത്യന് അന്തിക്കാട് മുഴുവന് സമയവും മൃതദേഹത്തിനൊപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
രണ്ടാഴ്ച കൂടുമ്പോള് ശ്രീനിവാസനെ കാണാന് വീട്ടില് പോകുമെന്നാണ് മരണവാര്ത്ത അറിഞ്ഞ സമയത്ത് സത്യന് അന്തിക്കാട് പറഞ്ഞത്. രാവിലെ മുതല് വൈകുന്നേരം വരെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനൊപ്പം സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുമായിരുന്നെന്നും സത്യന് അന്തിക്കാട് പറയുന്നു. മിനിഞ്ഞാന്നും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വിളിച്ച് സംസാരിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇടയ്ക്ക് ഒന്നു വീണതായും അതിനെത്തുടര്ന്ന് സര്ജറി നടത്തിയിരുന്നെന്നും സത്യന് അന്തിക്കാട് പറഞ്ഞു.

The ceremony was marked by emotional moments, including director Sathyan Anthikad placing a pen, paper and a handwritten note on Sreenivasan’s mortal remains. The note read, “May goodness befall everyone,” reflecting Sreenivasan’s philosophy and legacy. Sathyan Anthikad, a close friend and long-time collaborator, stayed beside the body throughout the rituals and recalled their deep bond. He said he used to visit Sreenivasan regularly and spend hours talking with him. Anthikad also revealed that he had spoken to Sreenivasan just days before his death and mentioned that the veteran had recently undergone surgery following a fall. Tributes continue to pour in from across Kerala’s cultural and political spheres.
