അന്വേഷണം തീരും വരെ അജിത് കുമാറിന് സ്ഥാനക്കയറ്റം നൽകില്ല. ഇതോടെ 31ന് ഒഴിവുവരുന്ന ഡിജിപി സ്ഥാനത്തേക്ക് മറ്റാരെയും പരിഗണിക്കേണ്ടന്നും തീരുമാനം. നിതിൻ അഗർവാൾ വിരമിക്കുന്ന ഒഴിവിലാണ് പുതിയൊരാൾക്ക് സ്ഥാനക്കയറ്റം ലഭിക്കാനിരുന്നത്. അജിത് കുമാർ കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ജയിൽ മേധാവിയായ എസ് ശ്രീജിത്തിനാണ് സ്ഥാനക്കയറ്റം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടത്. 

 

അജിത് കുമാർ നിയമ പോരാട്ടത്തിന് പോയാൽ തിരിച്ചടിയാകാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്ന് വിലയിരുത്തിയാണ് തൽക്കാലം ശ്രീജിത്ത് ഉൾപ്പെടെ ആർക്കും ഇപ്പോൾ പ്രമോഷൻ നൽകേണ്ട എന്ന് ആലോചിക്കുന്നത്. നിയമപദേശത്തിനു ശേഷം ആയിരിക്കും അന്തിമ തീരുമാനം.

A DGP-level inquiry has been decided against suspended ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar. Road Safety Commissioner Yogesh Gupta is likely to be entrusted with the investigation. A decision on issues including the withdrawal of Ajith Kumar's suspension will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry. Ajith Kumar will not be promoted until the investigation is completed. It has also been decided that no other officer will be considered for the vacant DGP post that is set to open up on the 31st. The vacancy is arising due to the retirement of Nitin Agarwal, and a new officer was expected to be promoted to the post. After Ajith Kumar, S. Sreejith, the current prison chief, is next in line for promotion.
