തലശേരിയില് വന് എംഡിഎംഎ വേട്ട. മിഠായി കടലാസില് പൊതിഞ്ഞ് എംഡിഎംഎ എത്തിച്ച കേസില് ചിറയ്ക്കല് സ്വദേശി മുഹമ്മദ് സമീല് പിടിയിലായി. 185 ഗ്രാം എംഡിഎംഎയാണ് ഇയാളില് നിന്നും പിടികൂടിയത്.
വിദ്യാര്ഥികളെ അടക്കം ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടാണ് സമീല് മിഠായിക്കവറില് ലഹരിയെത്തിച്ചതെന്നാണ് അനുമാനം. പൊലീസിന് കിട്ടിയ രഹസ്യ വിവരത്തെ തുടര്ന്ന് തലശേരി എഎസ്പിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള പൊലീസ് സംഘമാണ് സമീലിനെ പിടികൂടിയത് . തുടര്ന്ന് സമീലിന്റെ വീട്ടില് നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയില് കൂളറിനുള്ളില് കവറുകളിലാക്കി സൂക്ഷിച്ച എംഡിഎംഎ കണ്ടെത്തി. ഡാന്സാഫ് ടീമും തലശേരി എഎസ്പിയുടെ സംഘവും ചേര്ന്നായിരുന്നു ഓപ്പറേഷന് തൂഫാന്റെ ഭാഗമായി പരിശോധന നടത്തിയത്.
