ഇടുക്കിയിൽ മക്കളെ മറയാക്കി മോഷണ കേസ് പ്രതി പൊലീസിനെ വെട്ടിച്ച് കടന്നു. കരിങ്കുന്നം സ്വദേശി ശ്രീജിത്താണ് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത്. പൊലീസ് പിടിക്കുമെന്ന ഘട്ടത്തിൽ മക്കളെ കാറിൽ പൂട്ടിയിട്ട ശേഷം കടന്നുകളയുകയായിരുന്നു.

കോഴിക്കോട് റജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്ത കേസിൽ പിടികിട്ടാപ്പുള്ളിയായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതോടെയാണ് ശ്രീജിത്തിനെ തേടി പൊലീസ് ഇടുക്കിയിലെത്തിയത്. മൊബൈൽ ടവർ കേന്ദ്രികരിച്ചു നടത്തിയ അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ ഇയാൾ കാറിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് മനസിലാക്കി. പിന്നിടാണ് കാഞ്ഞാർ എസ് ഐ ബൈജു പി ബാബു അടങ്ങുന്ന സംഘം പ്രതിയെ പിന്തുടർന്നത്. പൊലീസ് പിന്തുടരുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് മനസിലാക്കിയ ശ്രീജിത്ത് കാഞ്ഞാർ കാവുംപടിയിൽ കാർ നിർത്തി ഓടി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. പിന്നാലെയെത്തിയ പൊലീസ് പരിശോധിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് കാറിൽ മൂന്നിലും, അഞ്ചിലും പഠിക്കുന്ന പെൺകുട്ടികളെ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. കുട്ടികൾ കരയാൻ തുടങ്ങിയതോടെ ശ്രീജിത്തിനെ പിന്തുടരാതെ പൊലീസ് കുട്ടികളെ പുറത്തെത്തിക്കാൻ ശ്രമം തുടങ്ങി. ഒടുക്കം ശ്രീജിത്തിന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വിളിച്ച് സ്പെയർ കീ എത്തിച്ചാണ് കുട്ടികളെ പുറത്തെത്തിച്ചത് 

ശ്രീജിത്ത് കുട്ടികളുമായി സ്കൂളിലേക്ക് പോയപ്പോഴാണ് പൊലീസ് പിന്തുടർന്നത്. മോഷണമടക്കം 13 കേസുകളിൽ പ്രതിയായ ശ്രീജിത്തിനെ കണ്ടെത്താൻ അന്വേഷണം തുടരുകയാണ്.

A fugitive accused in a theft case, Sreejith of Karinkunnam, Idukki, managed to evade the police by using his own children as a diversion. The police team, including Kanjir S.I. Baiju P. Babu, was pursuing Sreejith, who was declared a proclaimed offender in a case registered in Kozhikode. Realizing he was being followed while driving his car near Kanjir Kavumpadi, Sreejith abruptly stopped, locked his two young daughters (aged 3 and 5) inside the vehicle, and fled on foot. Seeing the crying children inside, the police prioritized their safety over pursuing Sreejith. They eventually contacted Sreejith's wife, who brought a spare key to rescue the children. Police suspect Sreejith was on his way to drop the children at school when the pursuit began. Sreejith, an accused in 13 cases including theft, is now the subject of an intensified search.
