ഇന്സ്റ്റഗ്രാം വഴി പരിചയപ്പെട്ടയാള് 50 ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ സമ്മാനം കൊറിയില് വഴി അയച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് വിശ്വസിപ്പിച്ച് കൊച്ചി കടവന്ത്ര സ്വദേശിയായ വീട്ടമ്മയില് നിന്ന് രണ്ട് ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം രൂപ തട്ടിയെടുത്തു. കഴിഞ്ഞമാസം പതിനഞ്ചാം തീയതിയാണ് വീട്ടമ്മ പാട്രിക്ക് മൈക്കിള് എന്ന ഇന്സ്റ്റഗ്രാം ഐ.ഡിയിലുള്ള ആളെ പരിചയപ്പെടുന്നത്. രണ്ട് ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോള് 50 ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ ഒരു സമ്മാനം കൊറിയര് വഴി അയച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും ഇത് ലഭിക്കുന്നതിനായി കസ്റ്റമര് ക്ലിയര് ഫീസായി പണം അയക്കണമെന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
ഇങ്ങനെ പലതവണകളായി 2,50,500 രൂപ ദിനേഷ്.പി എന്നയാളുടെ പേരിലുള്ള അക്കൗണ്ടിലേക്ക് നല്കി. പറഞ്ഞ തീയതി കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും സമ്മാനം ലഭിക്കാതെ വന്നതോടെയാണ് വീട്ടമ്മ എറണാകുളം സൗത്ത് പൊലീസില് പരാതി നല്കിയത്. സാമൂഹിക മാധ്യമങ്ങള് കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് പണം തട്ടുന്ന സംഘമാണ് തട്ടിപ്പിന് പിന്നിലെന്നാണ് പൊലീസിന്റെ നിഗമനം. സന്ദേശങ്ങള് വന്ന ഇന്സ്റ്റഗ്രാം അക്കൗണ്ട് വ്യാജമാമെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
