പാലക്കാട് മേനോൻപാറയിൽ സഹോദരങ്ങളായ കുട്ടികൾ കുളിമുറിയിലെ സിമൻ്റ് ടാങ്കിൽ മുങ്ങിമരിച്ചത്  കൊലപാതകം. കുട്ടികളുടെ അമ്മ നിവേദ്യ  കുറ്റം സമ്മതിച്ചു. സ്വതന്ത്രമായ ജീവിതത്തിന് കുട്ടികള്‍ തടസാണെന്ന കാരണത്താലാണ് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. എന്നാല്‍ ടാങ്കിൽ മുങ്ങി മരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥിതിയിൽ വെള്ളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ലെന്നും ദുരൂഹത അന്വേഷിക്കണമെന്നും കുട്ടികളുടെ അച്ഛൻ്റെ സഹോദരി പൊലീസിനോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
