ഇനി ഡ്രൈവിങ് ലൈസന്സ് എടുക്കുന്നതിന് മുന്നോടിയായുള്ള ലേണേഴ്സ് പരീക്ഷ നമ്മുടെ സ്വന്തം മൊബൈലിലും എഴുതാം.
കംപ്യൂട്ടറുകള് കിട്ടാനില്ലാതെ വന്നതോടെ മോട്ടോര് വാഹന വകുപ്പ് കടുംപിടുത്തം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇനി ഡ്രൈവിങ് ലൈസന്സ് എടുക്കുന്നതിന് മുന്നോടിയായുള്ള ലേണേഴ്സ് പരീക്ഷ നമ്മുടെ സ്വന്തം മൊബൈലിലും എഴുതാം. പക്ഷെ വീട്ടിലിരുന്ന് മൊബൈലില് എഴുതാന് പറ്റില്ല. മോട്ടോര് വാഹന വകുപ്പ് പരീക്ഷ നടത്തുന്ന സെന്ററില് തന്നെ പോകണം.
ഡ്രൈവിങ് ടെസ്റ്റിനുള്ള അപേക്ഷകള് കെട്ടിക്കിടക്കുന്നത് കൂടിയതോടെ ടെസ്റ്റുകളുടെയെണ്ണം കൂട്ടാന് ഗതാഗത വകുപ്പ് തീരുമാനിച്ചു. ഒരു ദിവസം അമ്പത് ടെസ്റ്റ് വീതം ഒരു കേന്ദ്രത്തില് ഇനി നടത്തും. നിലവില് 30 എണ്ണമായിരുന്നു. ആഴ്ചയില് അഞ്ച് ദിവസവും ഈ രീതിയില് ടെസ്റ്റ് നടത്തും. ഡ്രൈവിങ് ടെസ്റ്റിന്റെ എണ്ണം കൂട്ടിയതോടെ ലേണേഴ്സ് ടെസ്റ്റിന്റെ എണ്ണവും കൂട്ടണം. അതും ഒരു കേന്ദ്രത്തില് ഒരു ദിവസം അമ്പത് എന്നാക്കി.
എന്നാല് ഇത്രയും ടെസ്റ്റ് നടത്താന് എല്ലാ കേന്ദ്രത്തിലും ഇതിന് ആവശ്യമായ കംപ്യൂട്ടര് ഇല്ല. ആ പ്രശ്നം പരിഹരിക്കാനാണ് ടെസ്റ്റ് മൊബൈല് ഫോണിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുന്നത്. നമ്മുടെ മൊബൈലില് MVD Leads എന്ന മൊബൈല് ആപ്ളിക്കേഷന് ഡൗണ്ലോഡ് ചെയ്യണം. ഇതുവഴിയാണ് പരീക്ഷ. പരീക്ഷ നിയന്ത്രിക്കാന് മോട്ടോര് വാഹനവകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനും കൂടെയുണ്ടാവും

With a shortage of computers, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) is relaxing its earlier restrictions. Going forward, applicants can take the learner’s licence test on their own mobile phones before obtaining a driving licence. However, the test cannot be taken from home. Applicants must visit the designated test centre operated by the Motor Vehicles Department to take the test on their mobile phones. As the number of applications pending for driving tests continues to rise, the Transport Department has decided to increase the number of tests conducted. Each centre will now conduct 50 driving tests a day, compared to the existing 30. The tests will be conducted five days a week in this manner. With the increase in the number of driving tests, the number of learner’s licence tests also needs to be increased. The target has therefore been raised to 50 learner’s tests per centre per day.
