ഏബ്രഹാം ലിങ്കൺ തെരുവുവിളക്കിന്റെ വെളിച്ചത്തിൽ പഠിച്ച കഥ എല്ലാവരും കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടാകും. ഇവിടെ തൃശൂരിൽ ഓട്ടോ ഡ്രൈവറായ ഇരുപത്തൊന്നുകാരൻ ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷയിലിരുന്നു പഠിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. സ്വരാജ് റൌണ്ടിലേയ്ക്കു വന്നാൽ കൊട്ടേക്കാട് സ്വദേശിയായ ഗോഡ്‍വിനെ കാണാം. 

ജീവിതം സമ്മാനിച്ച ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകൾ തീർക്കാൻ മൂന്നു വർഷമായി ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ ഓടിക്കുകയാണ് ഗോഡ്വിൻ. പകൽ പാഠപുസ്തകങ്ങളുമായി ഐടിഐ-യിൽ മല്പിടുത്തം നടത്തും. അവിടെനിന്നിറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ ഡ്രൈവറുടെ കാക്കി കുപ്പായമിടും. കുറെ ഓടിക്കഴിയുമ്പോൾ പുസ്തകമെടുക്കും. പഠിത്തം തുടങ്ങും. അത്  അവസാനിച്ചാൽ ഉറക്കം വരുന്നതുവരെ വീണ്ടും ഓട്ടോ ഓടിക്കും.

ഇതാണ് ഗോഡ്വിന്റെ വീട്. ഏഴു മണി കഴിഞ്ഞു. ഗോഡ്വിൻ ഒല്ലൂർക്കരയിലെ ഐടിഐ.യിലേയ്ക്ക് പോകാനുള്ള ഒരുക്കത്തിലാണ്. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും ഈ ഓട്ടോയിലാണ് അവൻ്റെ യാത്ര ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. 

വിദ്യാർഥിയിൽ തുടങ്ങുന്ന ഗോഡ്വിന്‍റെ ഒരു ദിനം ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ ഡ്രൈവറിലൂടെ വീണ്ടും വിദ്യാർഥിയിൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ ഡ്രൈവറാകാനല്ല അവൻ പഠിക്കുന്നത്. എങ്കിൽ എന്നേ പഠിത്തം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചേനെ. ദിവസവും രണ്ടു വേഷങ്ങൾ എടുത്തണിയുന്ന ഗോഡ്വിനു മുന്നിൽ എന്തൊക്കെയോ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളുണ്ട്. ആ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളിലെത്താനാണ് ഈ ഓട്ടം.
