സംസ്ഥാന സ്കൂൾ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ പുതുചരിത്രമെഴുതി സിയ ഫാത്തിമ. വാസ്കുലൈറ്റിസെന്ന ഗുരുതര രോഗം ബാധിച്ചതിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് കാസര്കോട്ടെ വീട്ടിലിരുന്ന് ഓണ്ലൈനായി അറബിക് പോസ്റ്റര് നിര്മണ മല്സരത്തില് പങ്കെടുത്ത സിയ എ ഗ്രേഡ് നേടി. ജില്ലാ കലോല്സവത്തില് നേരി ട്ട്പങ്കെടുത്ത് വിജയിച്ച സിയയ്ക്ക് നാലാഴ്ച മുന്പാണ് രക്തക്കുഴലുകള് ചുരുങ്ങുന്ന രോഗം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചത്. തൃശൂരില് എത്തി മല്സരത്തില് പങ്കെടുക്കാന് കഴിയില്ലെന്ന് ഉറപ്പായതോടെ സിയ തന്റെ അവസ്ഥ വ്യക്തമാക്കി വിദ്യാഭ്യാസമന്ത്രി ശിവന്കുട്ടിക്ക് കത്തെഴുതി. കത്ത് വായിച്ച മന്ത്രി സിയയ്ക്കായി പ്രത്യേക ഉത്തരവും ഇറക്കി.
പ്രത്യേക അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചതോടെ കാസര്കോട് പടന്ന വികെപികെഎച്ച്എംഎം ആർവിഎച്ച്എസ്എസിലെ സിയ ഫാത്തിമ വിഡിയോ കോണ്ഫറന്സിങിലൂടെ മല്സരത്തില് പങ്കെടുത്തു. സിയയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ട ചികില്സ ഉറപ്പാക്കുമെന്നും സഹായം നല്കുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി കെ.രാജനും അറിയിച്ചു.

Siya Fathima, a student from VKPKHMMRVHSS Padna, Kasaragod, has scripted a new chapter in the 64-year history of the Kerala State School Kalolsavam by participating in a competition online. Diagnosed with vasculitis, a rare and painful inflammatory condition of the blood vessels, Siya was unable to travel to the venue in Thrissur. Following her emotional appeal to Education Minister V. Sivankutty, a special order was issued allowing her to compete in the Arabic Poster Designing event via video conferencing. Supported by IT officials from KITE at her home, she completed her work on the theme 'Book Fair' and secured an A-Grade. Ministers V. Sivankutty and K. Rajan monitored the online event and praised her indomitable spirit. This landmark decision marks the first time a participant has competed virtually in the state arts festival. The government has also promised to ensure the best possible medical treatment for her recovery.
