കൊച്ചിയിലെ ചായക്കടക്കാരന്‍  വിജയന്റെ ലോകയാത്ര ഇനി പാഠഭാഗം. വിജയനും ഭാര്യ മോഹനയും നടത്തിയ ലോകയാത്രകൾ മനോരമ ന്യൂസിലടക്കം വാർത്തയായിരുന്നു. വിജയൻ ഇന്ന് ജീവിച്ചിരിപ്പില്ലെങ്കിലും ആ യാത്രകൾ  ആറാം ക്ലാസ്സിലെ സംസ്‌കൃത പാഠപുസ്തകത്തിൽ പ്രചോദനമാണ് ഇവരുടെ യാത്രകള്‍.

ഗാന്ധിനഗറിലെ ശ്രീ ബാലാജി കോഫി ഹൗസ്.ഇവിടെയാണ് വിജയന്‍ എന്ന സാധാരണ മനുഷ്യന്റെ അസാധാരണ സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്‍ രൂപം കൊണ്ടത്. ചായ വിൽപ്പനയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ചെറു വരുമാനം…അതിൽ നിന്നു തന്നെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി മാറ്റിവെച്ച ചെറിയ സമ്പാദ്യം. സ്വ‌പ്നങ്ങൾക്ക് ചിറകുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ചായക്കടയിൽ നിന്നും ലോകത്തിൻ്റെ നെറുകയിലെത്താമെന്ന് പഠിപ്പിച്ച  വിജയൻ-  മോഹന ദമ്പതികളുടെ ജീവിതം പാഠമാണ്.

സംസ്ഥാന സിലബസിലെ ആറാം ക്ലാസ് സംസ്കൃതം  പാഠപുസ്തകത്തിൽ ഹാ ഹിമാചലം എന്ന അഞ്ചാം  അധ്യായത്തിൽ ഈ ദമ്പതികളുണ്ട്. വിജയൻ ഇന്നില്ല. ഓർമ്മകൾ  മാഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങിയെങ്കിലും പുസ്തകത്തിലെ ചിത്രം കാണിച്ചപ്പോൾ മോഹനയുടെ കണ്ണിൽ സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ നനവ്. 25  ലധികം രാജ്യങ്ങളിലാണ് ഇരുവരും ഒന്നിച്ചു യാത്ര ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളത്

Although Vijayan is no longer alive, their journey remains a testament to the power of dreams, proving that even a humble background cannot stop one from reaching the heights of global exploration.
