ഇടുക്കി വണ്ണപ്പുറം കോട്ടപ്പാറ വ്യൂ പോയിന്റിൽ അപകടത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട യുവാവിന് അത്ഭുതകരമായ രക്ഷപ്പെടൽ. പുലർച്ചെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾക്കൊപ്പം മല കയറിയ വണ്ണപ്പുറം സ്വദേശി സാംസൺ ജോർജാണ് 70 അടി താഴ്ചയിലേക്ക് വീണത്. സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾ വിവരമറിയിച്ചതിനെ തുടർന്ന് തൊടുപുഴയിൽ നിന്ന് അഗ്നിരക്ഷാ സേനയെത്തി സാംസണെ താഴ്ചയിലിറങ്ങി രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തി. മഴപെയ്തു നനഞ്ഞു കിടന്നിരുന്ന പാറയിൽ നിന്ന് ഇയാൾ തെന്നി വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു. കൈക്ക് പരുക്കേറ്റ സാംസണെ തൊടുപുഴയിലെത്തിച്ച് ചികിത്സ നൽകി.

A youth had a miraculous escape after falling from a height of 70 feet at Kottapara Viewpoint in Vannappuram, Idukki. The victim, Samson George from Vannappuram, had gone trekking early in the morning with friends when the accident occurred. He slipped and fell from a wet rock due to rain. Friends immediately alerted authorities, and the fire and rescue team from Thodupuzha arrived and successfully brought him up from the depth. Samson sustained injuries to his hand and was given treatment at a hospital in Thodupuzha.
