കാസർകോട് ജനിച്ചുവളർന്ന് എല്ലാ രേഖകളും ഉള്ള അബ്ദുല് റഹ്മാന് ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരൻ അല്ലെന്ന് പരാതി നല്കി ബിജെപി. പൈവളിഗ സ്വദേശിയായ അബ്ദുൽ റഹ്മാന്റെ വോട്ട് വെട്ടണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് ബിജെപി ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറി ലോഗേഷാണ് പരാതി നൽകിയത്. എല്ലാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലും വോട്ട് ചെയ്ത അബ്ദുൾറഹ്മാൻ ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഏഴുപേരുടെ വോട്ട് നീക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടാണ് പരാതി. എന്നാൽ പരാതിയില് ആരോപണം ഉന്നയിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഏഴുപേരെയും കൂട്ടി മഞ്ചേശ്വരം എംഎൽഎ എ.കെ.എം.അഷ്റഫ് അദാലത്തിൽ ഹാജരായി. നിസാര വോട്ടുകളുടെ വ്യത്യാസത്തിൽ പരാജയപ്പെട്ട മഞ്ചേശ്വരം മണ്ഡലം പിടിച്ചെടുക്കാനുള്ള ബിജെപി ശ്രമമാണ് പരാതിക്ക് പിന്നിലെന്നാണ് എംഎൽഎ ആരോപിക്കുന്നത്. താന് ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരൻ അല്ലെന്ന് പരാതി ലഭിച്ചത് മാനസിക വിഷമം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെന്ന് അബ്ദുൽ റഹ്മാനും പ്രതികരിച്ചു.
