തൃശൂര് മറ്റത്തൂര് പഞ്ചായത്തില് കോണ്ഗ്രസില്നിന്ന് രാജിവച്ച് ബിജെപിയില് ചേര്ന്ന് സഖ്യം രൂപീകരിച്ചവര്ക്കെതിരെ ഡിസിസി നടപടി. എട്ട് കോണ്ഗ്രസ് നേതാക്കളെയും രണ്ട് വിമതരെയും സസ്പെന്ഡ് ചെയ്തു. ഡിസിസി ജനറല് സെക്രട്ടറി ടി.എം.ചന്ദ്രന് മണ്ഡലം പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഷാഫി കല്ലുപറമ്പില് അടക്കമുള്ളവര്ക്കെതിരെയാണ് നടപടി.
പാര്ട്ടിയില് നിന്ന് ഇവര് രാജിവച്ചശേഷം ബിജെപിയുമായി ചേര്ന്ന് മുന്നണി രൂപീകരിച്ച് ഭരണം പിടിച്ചിരുന്നു. അതിനിടെ കോണ്ഗ്രസിനെ പരിഹസിച്ച് ഡിവൈഎഫ്ഐ രംഗത്തെത്തി. പഞ്ചായത്തിന് മുന്നില് താമരയില് കൈപ്പത്തി ചിഹ്നമുള്ള ഫ്ലക്സ് വച്ചു. കോണ്ഗ്രസ് ജനത പാര്ട്ടിയെന്നും ഫ്ലക്സില് ആരോപിക്കുന്നു.
മറ്റത്തൂര് പഞ്ചായത്തില് എട്ട് കോണ്ഗ്രസ് മെമ്പര്മാര് പാര്ട്ടിയില് നിന്ന് രാജിവച്ചതോടെ യു.ഡി.എഫില് ഗുരുതര പ്രതിസന്ധിയാണ്.
