തദ്ദേശ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില് എല്ഡിഎഫിന് വന് തിരിച്ചടി. ഉറച്ച കോട്ടകള് കൈവിട്ടതോടെ പഞ്ചായത്തിലും മുനിസിപ്പാലിറ്റിയിലും കോര്പറേഷനുകളിലും എല്ഡിഎഫിന് കാലിടറി. കോഴിക്കോട് കോര്പ്പറേഷന് മാത്രമാണ് നിലവില് എല്ഡിഎഫിന് മുന്നേറ്റമുള്ളത്. കൊല്ലത്തും തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തും കൊച്ചിയിലും തൃശൂരിലും വന് തിരിച്ചടിയാണ് നേരിട്ടത്. കൊല്ലത്ത് മേയര് ഹണി ബെഞ്ചമിന് തോറ്റു. മുന് മേയര് രാജേന്ദ്രബാബുവും തോറ്റു. ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തുകളിലെ 2186വാര്ഡുകളിലും ബ്ലോക്കിലെ 76 വാര്ഡുകളിലും മുനിസിപ്പാലിറ്റിയിലെ 1333 വാര്ഡുകളിലും യുഡിഎഫ് ജയിച്ചു.
ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തുകളിലെ 243 വാര്ഡുകളില് യുഡിഎഫ് ലീഡ് ചെയ്യുന്നു. 194 വാര്ഡുകളില് എല്ഡിഎഫും മൂന്നിടത്ത് എന്ഡിഎയും ലീഡ് ചെയ്യുന്നു. ബ്ലോക്ക് പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ 66 വാര്ഡുകളില് യുഡിഎഫും 54 ഇടത്ത് എല്ഡിഎഫും ലീഡ് ചെയ്യുന്നു. 32 ഇടത്ത് ആര്ക്കും വ്യക്തമായ ഭൂരിപക്ഷമില്ല.
ജില്ലാ പഞ്ചായത്തില് കോട്ടയം, ഇടുക്കി, എറണാകുളം, മലപ്പുറം, കോഴിക്കോട്, വയനാട്, കാസര്കോട് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില് യുഡിഎഫാണ് ലീഡ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നേരിയ വ്യത്യാസത്തിലും, ആലപ്പുഴ, പാലക്കാട്, തൃശൂര്, കണ്ണൂര് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില് എല്ഡിഎഫും മുന്നേറുന്നു.
ENGLISH SUMMARY:
The LDF faced a massive setback in the local body elections, losing major strongholds in Panchayats, Municipalities, and Corporations. Only Kozhikode Corporation remains a clear lead for the LDF. The front suffered significant defeats in Kollam (where Mayor Honey Benjamin and former Mayor Rajendrababu lost), Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Thrissur. The UDF has surged, winning 2186 Grama Panchayat wards, 76 Block Panchayat wards, and 1333 Municipality wards. UDF is leading the charge in District Panchayats in seven districts (Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kasaragod), while LDF leads in Alappuzha, Palakkad, Thrissur, and Kannur, and is in a close contest in Thiruvananthapuram.
