നിലമ്പൂർ ഉപതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ യുഡിഎഫ് വിജയിക്കുമെന്നു മുൻ ഡിസിസി പ്രസിന്റ് വി.വി.പ്രകാശിന്റെ കുടുംബം.  എടക്കരയിലെ ബൂത്തിൽ വോട്ടു ചെയ്ത ശേഷം മാധ്യമ പ്രവർത്തകരോടു സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ഭാര്യ സ്മിതയും മകൾ നന്ദനയും. യുഡിഎഫ് സ്ഥാനാർഥി കാണാൻ വരാത്തതിൽ തങ്ങൾക്കു പരാതിയില്ല. സ്ഥാനാർഥി വന്നില്ലെങ്കിലും തങ്ങളുടെ വോട്ടു ലഭിക്കുമെന്ന യുഡിഎഫ് നേതൃത്വത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വാസമാണ് അത്. ആരോടും പരാതി  പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. ഇതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വിവാദങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് വിവാദമുണ്ടാക്കിയവരോടു ചോദിക്കണം.

2021 നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ നിലമ്പൂരിൽ യുഡിഎഫ് സ്ഥാനാർഥിയായിരുന്ന വി.വി.പ്രകാശ് ഫലം വരുന്നതിനു രണ്ടു ദിവസം മുൻപാണു മരിച്ചത്. തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പു ദിവസം അച്ഛനെ ഓർക്കുന്നതായി മകൾ നന്ദന സമൂഹ മാധ്യമത്തിൽ കുറിപ്പിട്ടിരുന്നു. യുഡിഎഫ് സ്ഥാനാർഥി ആര്യാടൻഷൗക്കത്ത് പ്രകാശിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ വോട്ടു ചോദിച്ചെത്താത്തതും എതിരാളികൾ പ്രചാരണ ആയുധമാക്കി. ഉച്ചവരെ പ്രകാശിന്റെ കുടുംബം വോട്ടു ചെയ്യാനെത്താത്തതിനാൽ പല അഭ്യൂഹങ്ങളും പരന്നു. ഇതിനെല്ലാം വിരാമമിട്ടാണു പ്രകാശിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ പ്രതികരണം.

വി.വി.പ്രകാശിന്‍റെ വീട്ടില്‍ പോകാത്തതില്‍ എല്‍ഡിഎഫിന്‍റേത് ദുഷ്പ്രചാരണമെന്ന് യുഡിഎഫ് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ഥി ആര്യാടന്‍ ഷൗക്കത്ത് പറഞ്ഞു. ആരുശ്രമിച്ചാലും. യുഡിഎഫില്‍ വിള്ളലുണ്ടാക്കാനാവില്ലെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
