ശബരിമല സ്വർണക്കൊള്ള കേസിലും ആടിയശിഷ്‌ടം നെയ്യ് ക്രമക്കേടിലും ആരോപണ വിധേയനായ ശബരിമല മുൻ എക്സിക്യുട്ടീവ് ഓഫിസർക്ക് വീണ്ടും നിര്‍ണായക പദവി. സ്പെഷല്‍ ഓഫിസര്‍ ഒ.ജി.ബിജുവിനെയാണ് തിരുവിതാംകൂർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡ് ഭരണസമിതി, മണ്ഡലകാലത്ത് ശബരിമലയിലെ പ്രത്യേക കോ-ഓർഡിനേറ്ററാക്കി നിയമിച്ചത്. ബോര്‍ഡ് ഭരണസമിതിയില്‍ ഭിന്നാഭിപ്രായം ഉയർന്നെങ്കിലും പരിചയസമ്പന്നൻ എന്ന നിലയിലാണ് പദവി നല്‍കുന്നതെന്ന് പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് കെ.ജയകുമാര്‍ വിശദീകരിച്ചു.
കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷത്തിന്‍റെ തുടര്‍ച്ചയെന്ന നിലയില്‍ ഒ.ജി.ബിജുവിനെ വീണ്ടും ശബരിമല എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ഓഫിസര്‍ പദവിയില്‍ കാലാവധി നീട്ടി നല്‍കാനുള്ള ബോര്‍ഡിന്‍റെ തീരുമാനം നേരത്തെ ഹൈക്കോടതി ഇടപെട്ടാണ് തടഞ്ഞത്. നിലവിലെ എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ഓഫിസറുടെ ജോലിഭാരം കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് സഹായിക്കാനാണ് നിയമനമെന്നാണ് ബോർഡിന്റെ നിലപാടെങ്കിലും സ്പെഷല്‍ കമ്മിഷണര്‍ ഈ തീരുമാനം ഹൈക്കോടതിയെ ധരിപ്പിക്കും. പ്രത്യേക ചുമതലയാണെങ്കിലും നിയമനത്തിന് ഹൈക്കോടതിയുടെ അനുമതി വേണ്ടിവരും.
