വഖഫ് ബോർഡിലെ മുസ്‌ലിം ഇതര അംഗങ്ങളുടെ ഒഴിവിലേക്ക് കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി സുരേഷ് ഗോപിയുടെ പേര് നിർദേശിച്ച് അസംബ്ലി ഓഫ് ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ ട്രസ്റ്റ് സർവീസസ് (ACTS) ഹൈക്കോടതിയെ സമീപിച്ചു.
വഖഫ് ബോർഡിലെ മുസ്‌ലിം ഇതര അംഗങ്ങളുടെ ഒഴിവിലേക്ക് സുരേഷ് ഗോപിയുടെ പേര് നിർദേശിച്ച് അസംബ്ലി ഓഫ് ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ ട്രസ്റ്റ് സർവീസസ് ഹൈക്കോടതിയിൽ. വഖഫ് ബോർഡ് പുനസംഘടന ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തുള്ള മുൻ ചെയർമാൻ കെ.എസ്.ഹംസയുടെ ഹർജിയിൽ കക്ഷിചേരാൻ അപേക്ഷ നൽകിയാണ് ACTS നിർദേശം. എംപി കാറ്റഗറിയിൽ കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി സുരേഷ് ഗോപി, ഫ്രാൻസിസ് ജോർജ് എം.പി, കെ.രാധാകൃഷ്ണൻ എം.പി. എന്നിവരിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരാളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കണം എന്നാണ് ആവശ്യം.
ബാർ കൗൺസിൽ അംഗങ്ങളുടെ കാറ്റഗറിയിൽ അഭിഭാഷകരായ കെ.പി.ജയചന്ദ്രൻ, നാഗരാജ് നാരായണൻ, പി.ശ്രീപ്രകാശ്, ജോസ് മേച്ചേരി എന്നിവരിൽ നിന്ന് ആരെയെങ്കിലും നിയമിക്കണമെന്നും കക്ഷിചേരൽ അപേക്ഷയിൽ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നു. മുൻ വഖഫ് ബോർഡിൻ്റെ നിയമസാധുത ചോദ്യം ചെയ്ത് ACTS അടക്കം നൽകിയ ഹർജിയിലാണ് ബോർഡ് പുനസംഘടിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് സർക്കാർ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നത്.
