നിലവിലെ വൈദ്യുതി പ്രതിസന്ധിക്ക് പരിഹാരമാവുന്നതല്ലെങ്കിലും ദീർഘകാല വൈദ്യുതി കരാറിൽ ഒപ്പിട്ട് കെ.എസ്.ഇ.ബി. രാത്രികാലങ്ങളിൽ 300 മെഗാവാട്ട് വൈദ്യുതി ലഭിക്കുന്ന കരാറിലാണ് ഒപ്പിട്ടത്.
സോളർ എനർജി കോർപ്പറേഷൻ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയുമായാണ് കരാർ. 2028 മാർച്ച് മുതൽ യൂണിറ്റിന് 6 രൂപ നിരക്കിൽ വൈദ്യുതി ലഭിക്കും. ഇരുപത്തി അഞ്ച് വർഷത്തേക്കാണ് വൈദ്യുതി വിതരണ കരാർ.
