സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഒരു ഷിഗെല്ല മരണം കൂടി. കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളജില്‍ ചികില്‍യില്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്ന മലപ്പുറം പൂക്കോട്ടൂര്‍ സ്വദേശിയായ ഏഴ് വയസുകാരനാണ്   മരിച്ചത്.  വയറിളക്കവും പനിയും ബാധിച്ച് ഈ മാസം പന്ത്രണ്ടിനാണ് കുട്ടിയെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചത്. 

 

കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ ചികിത്സയിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന നാല് കുട്ടികളിൽ ഒരാളാണ് മരണപ്പെട്ടത്. ചികിത്സയിലുള്ള മറ്റ് മൂന്ന് കുട്ടികളുടെ നില ഗുരുതരമായി തുടരുകയാണ്. കോഴിക്കോട് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം രണ്ട് കുട്ടികൾക്ക് കൂടി ഷിഗല്ല സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു. പ്രതിരോധ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ഊർജിതമാക്കുമ്പോഴും വീണ്ടും മരണം റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നത് സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് വലിയ ആശങ്കയ്ക്ക് കാരണമായിട്ടുണ്ട്.

 

അതേസമയം, വയനാട് ജില്ലയിൽ പുതിയതായി ഷിഗെല്ല കേസുകളൊന്നും റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലെന്നും രോഗം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ച 16 കുട്ടികളുടെയും ആരോഗ്യനില തൃപ്തികരമാണെന്നും ജില്ലാ മെഡിക്കൽ ഓഫീസർ. നിലവിൽ 23 പേരാണ് ബത്തേരിയിലെ വിവിധ ആശുപത്രികളിൽ ചികിത്സയിലുള്ളത്. പുതുതായി ലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നവർ ഉടൻ ചികിത്സ തേടണമെന്നും ആരോഗ്യവകുപ്പിന്റെ ജാഗ്രതാ നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ കർശനമായി പാലിക്കണമെന്നും ഡി.എം.ഒ അറിയിച്ചു.
