എസ്എഫ്ഐ സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറിയായിരുന്ന പി.എം ആർഷോയ്ക്ക് രണ്ടുവർഷം മുമ്പ് എറണാകുളം മഹാരാജാസ് കോളജിൽ എംഎ ക്ലാസിലേക്കു പ്രവേശനം നൽകിയത് ചട്ടവിരുദ്ധമായാണെന്ന് എം.ജി സർവകലാശാലയുടെ കുറ്റസമ്മതം. പ്രവേശനം നൽകിയ കോളജ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ സർവകലാശാലയെയും തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിച്ചു. പ്രിൻസിപ്പലിന് ജാഗ്രത കുറവ് ഉണ്ടായെന്ന് ഓർമിപ്പിച്ച് സർവകലാശാല സിൻഡിക്കറ്റ് നടപടി ഒഴിവാക്കി. സിൻഡിക്കറ്റ് തീരുമാനത്തിന്റെ പകർപ്പ് മനോരമ ന്യൂസിന് ലഭിച്ചു. 

മഹാരാജാസ് കോളജ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ 2025 മാർച്ച് 18നു സർവകലാശാലയ്ക്ക് നൽകിയ അന്തിമ റിപ്പോർട്ടാണ് സർവകലാശാല സിൻഡിക്കറ്റ് ചർച്ച ചെയ്തും വീഴ്ച സമ്മതിച്ചതും. ചട്ടവിരുദ്ധമായാണ് ആർഷോയ്ക്ക് എംഎ ക്ലാസിലേക്കു പ്രവേശനം നൽകിയതെന്നും തെറ്റായ റിപ്പോർട്ടാണ് ആദ്യം കോളജ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ  സർവ്വകലാശാലയ്ക്ക് നൽകിയതെന്നും റജിസ്ട്രാർ സിൻഡിക്കറ്റ് യോഗത്തിൽ വിശദീകരിച്ചു. ആർഷോയ്ക്ക് ആറാം സെമസ്റ്ററിൽ 10% ഹാജർ മാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളു. സർവകലാശാല യൂണിയന്റെയും കോളജ് യൂണിയന്റെയും പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളുടെ പേരിൽ 27 ദിവസത്തെ ഹാജർ നൽകിയയെന്നായിരുന്നു മഹാരാജാസ് കോളജിന്‍റെ ആദ്യ വിശദീകരണം. എന്നാൽ ഒരു സെമസ്റ്ററിൽ പരമാവധി 15 ദിവസത്തെ ഹാജർ മാത്രമേ കുറവ് ചെയ്തു നൽകാൻ ചട്ടം അനുവദിക്കുന്നുള്ളു.

ഇത് പരിശോധിക്കാതെയാണ് കോളജ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ പ്രവേശനം നൽകിയത്. സേവ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ക്യാംപെയ്ൻ കമ്മിറ്റി ഗവർണർക്കും എംജി സർവകലാശാല വൈസ് ചാൻസലർക്കും നൽകിയ നിവേദനമാണ് വഴിത്തിരിവായത്. മഹാരാജാസിൽ ആർക്കിയോളജി ഇന്റഗ്രേറ്റഡ് കോഴ്സിൽ പ്രവേശനം നേടിയ ആർഷോയ്ക്കു ആറാം സെമസ്റ്റർ പാസാകാതെ ഏഴാം സെമസ്റ്ററിൽ പ്രവേശനം നൽകിയെന്നായിരുന്നു പരാതി. 5, 6 സെമസ്റ്റർ പരീക്ഷ എഴുതാൻ 75 % ഹാജർ വേണമെന്നിരിക്കെ 10 % മാത്രം ഹാജരാണ് ആർഷോയ്ക്കുള്ളതെന്ന് പരാതിയിൽ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ മേയ് 20ന് ചേർന്ന സിൻഡിക്കറ്റിൽ വീഴ്ച വരുത്തിയ കോളജ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പലിനെതിരെ നടപടി ചർച്ച ചെയ്തെങ്കിലും ജാഗ്രതക്കുറവ് ഉണ്ടായെന്ന് പ്രിൻസിപ്പലിനെ ഓർമിപ്പിക്കാൻ മാത്രമാണ് സിൻഡിക്കറ്റ് തീരുമാനിച്ചത്.
