തൃശൂര്‍ കോടാലിയില്‍ എട്ടുവയസുകാരന്‍ പാമ്പുകടിയേറ്റ് മരിച്ചു. കോടാലി കാവുങ്ങൽ സിൽജോ – ജോൺസി ദമ്പതികളുടെ ഇളയ മകൻ ആല്‍ജോ ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. സഹോദരനും കടിയേറ്റെന്ന് സംശയം. സഹോദരന്‍ അനോദ് സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചികില്‍സയിലാണ് . കുട്ടികളുടെ മുറിയില്‍നിന്ന് പാമ്പിനെ കണ്ടെത്തി. പാമ്പിനെ ലഭിച്ചത് കിടക്കയില്‍ തലയണയ്ക്കടിയില്‍നിന്നാണ്. 

ഭക്ഷ്യവിഷബാധയേറ്റെന്നായിരുന്നു മാതാപിതാക്കൾ കരുതിയിരുന്നത്. എന്നാല്‍  പുലർച്ചയോടെ മകൻ അബോധാവസ്ഥയിലാവുകയായിരുന്നെന്ന് അമ്മ പറഞ്ഞു. കുട്ടിയുടെ മരണത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ വീട്ടിൽ നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് കിടക്കയില്‍ തലയിണക്കടിയില്‍നിന്ന് പാമ്പിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. കുട്ടിയുടെ ദേഹത്ത് പാമ്പുകടിയേറ്റ അടയാളവും കണ്ടെത്തി. 

കുട്ടികൾ രണ്ടുപേരും കിടന്നിരുന്ന തലയണയുടെ അടിയിൽ നിന്നാണ് പാമ്പിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.  പാമ്പിനെ വീട്ടുകാര്‍ തല്ലിക്കൊന്നു. സഹോദരൻ പത്തു വയസ്സുള്ള അനോദും സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സയിലാണ്.
