അങ്കമാലിയിലെ ജാസ്‍ലിയയുടെ അപകട മരണത്തിൽ പൊലീസിനെതിരെ കുടുംബം. തന്റെ മകള്‍ക്ക് നീതി വേണമെന്ന് ജാസ്‌ലിയയുടെ അമ്മ വാര്‍ത്തസമ്മേളനത്തില്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. 6 ദിവസമായിട്ടും പ്രതിയെ പിടിക്കാനായില്ല. പ്രതിയായ ഡോക്ടര്‍ സിറിയക് സമ്പന്നകുടുംബാംഗമാണ്. ഇവിടെ  സാധാരണക്കാരന്റെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വിലയില്ലേയെന്നും അമ്മ ചോദിച്ചു. പൊലീസ് ഇതുവരെ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടില്ലെന്ന് പിതാവ് പറഞ്ഞു. പൊലീസ് നടപടികള്‍ മനഃപൂര്‍വം വൈകിപ്പിച്ചതെന്ന് സഹോദരന്‍ ആരോപിച്ചു. അങ്കമാലിയിലെ ജാസ്‍ലിയയുടെ അപകട മരണത്തിൽ പ്രതിയായ ഡോക്ടർ സിറിയക്കിനെ അഞ്ച് ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും പൊലീസിന് പിടികൂടാനായിട്ടില്ല. ഒളിവിലുള്ള സിറിയക് കോട്ടയം സെഷൻസ് കോടതിയിൽ മുൻകൂർ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ നൽകി. 

വീടും പൂട്ടി ഒളിവിൽ പോയ പ്രതി ഡോക്ടർ സിറിയക്ക് പി ജോർജിനായുള്ള പൊലിസ് അന്വേഷണത്തിന്‍റെ മെല്ലപ്പോക്കിനോടുള്ള പ്രതിഷേധമായിരുന്നു ജാസ്‍ലിയയയുടെ അമ്മയുടെ വാക്കുകൾ. പ്രതിക്കായി പൊലീസ് ലുക്ക് ഔട്ട് നോട്ടീസ് പുറത്തിറക്കി ആലുവ ഡി.വൈ.എസ്.പിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണ സംഘത്തെ നിയോഗിച്ചു. കോട്ടയം സെഷൻസ് കോടതിയിൽ പ്രതി സിറിയക്ക് മുൻകൂർ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ സമർപ്പിച്ചു. ഡോക്ടർ ആയ പ്രതിയുടെ ഭാഗത്ത് നിന്നുണ്ടായത് ഗുരുതര കുറ്റകൃതമാണെന്നും കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്ത് ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യണമെന്നാണ് പൊലീസ് കോടതിയിൽ നൽകിയ മറുപടി.

അങ്കമാലിയില്‍ കാറിടിച്ചുണ്ടായ അപകടത്തില്‍ ചികില്‍സയിലിരിക്കെയാണ് ബിരുദവിദ്യാര്‍ഥിനി ജാസ്‍ലിയ ജോൺസന്‍ മരിച്ചത്. പാർട്ട് ടൈം ജോലി കഴിഞ്ഞു മടങ്ങുകയായിരുന്ന ജാസ്‌ലിയയെ അമിത വേഗത്തിലെത്തിയ കാറിടിച്ചു തെറിപ്പിപ്പിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.  പ്രതി സിറിയക്കിനായി വീട്ടില്‍ പൊലീസ് പരിശോധന നടത്തി. ഡോ.സിറിയക് അതിരമ്പുഴയിലില്ല. വീട് പൂട്ടിയനിലയിലാണ്.
