ആര്‍ആര്‍ടിഎസ് കേരളത്തില്‍ പ്രായോഗികമല്ലെന്ന് ഇ.ശ്രീധരന്‍. ഇതൊരു ഇലക്ഷന്‍ സ്റ്റണ്ടാണ്. സര്‍ക്കാരിന് വലിയ തെറ്റിദ്ധാരണയാണുള്ളതെന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിക്ക് ആരാണ് ഈ ആശയം നല്‍കിയതെന്നറിയില്ലെന്നും ഇ.ശ്രീധരന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

ഡല്‍ഹിയിലുള്ളത് ആര്‍ആര്‍ടിഎസ് സബര്‍ബന്‍ സര്‍വീസാണ്. അത് ഒരിക്കലും ഹൈസ്പീഡാക്കാന്‍ പറ്റില്ലെന്നും സാങ്കേതികമായി ആര്‍ആര്‍ടിഎസ് പ്രായോഗികമല്ല. പദ്ധതികൊണ്ട് നാട്ടുകാര്‍ക്ക് പ്രയോജനമുണ്ടാകണം. കെ.റെയില്‍ ഇല്ലാതാക്കിയെന്ന ആരോപണം ദുരുദ്ദേശ്യപരമെന്നും ഇ.ശ്രീധരന്‍ പ്രതികരിച്ചു. 

കേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ അതിവേഗ റെയില്‍പദ്ധതിയുമായി മുന്നോട്ടുപോകുമെന്നും ഇ.ശ്രീധരന്‍ നിലപാട് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. സഹകരിച്ചില്ലെങ്കില്‍ കേരളത്തിനാണ് നഷ്ടമെന്നും റെയില്‍വേ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെയല്ല കേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെതാണെന്നും ഇ.ശ്രീധരന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

E. Sreedharan has stated that the RRTS is not practical in Kerala. He called it an election stunt. He added that the government has a major misunderstanding and that he does not know who advised the Chief Minister on this idea. The RRTS in Delhi is a suburban service, and it can never be made high-speed. Technically, RRTS is not feasible in Kerala. Any project must benefit the people, he said. The allegation that he was responsible for scrapping K-Rail is malicious, Sreedharan clarified.
