മൂന്നാം ബലാത്സം​ഗക്കേസിൽ റിമാൻഡിലായ പാലക്കാട് എംഎൽഎ രാഹുൽ മാങ്കൂട്ടത്തിലിന്റെ ജാമ്യഹർജിയിൽ വിധി പറയുന്നത് മാറ്റി. കേസില്‍ ഈ മാസം 28ന് വിധി പറയും. പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലാ സെഷൻസ് കോടതിയാണ് ജാമ്യഹർജി മാറ്റിവെച്ച് കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉത്തരവ് പുറത്തിറക്കിയത്. 

രാഹുലും പരാതിക്കാരിയും തമ്മിലുള്ള ശബ്ദരേഖ പ്രതിഭാ​ഗം കോടതിയിൽ ഹാജരാക്കിയിരുന്നു. അതിന്റെ ശാസ്ത്രീയ പരിശോധന വേണമെന്ന് പ്രോസിക്യൂഷൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. അതേസമയം രാഹുലിന്റെ റിമാൻഡ് കാലാവധി നീട്ടാൻ എസ്ഐടി തിരുവല്ല കോടതിയിൽ അപേക്ഷ നൽകി. കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ടാഴ്ചയായി മാവേലിക്കര ജയിലിലാണ് രാഹുൽ മാങ്കുട്ടത്തിൽ. 

 രാഹുല്‍ സ്ഥിരം പ്രതിയെന്നും ഗുരുതരമായ ലൈംഗിക ചൂഷണവും ബലാല്‍സംഗവും നടത്തുന്ന ആളെന്നും പ്രോസിക്യൂഷന്‍ വാദിച്ചു. ജാമ്യം അനുവദിച്ചാല്‍ രാജ്യാന്തര ബന്ധങ്ങളുള്ള പ്രതി പരാതിക്കാരിയെ ബന്ധപ്പെടും എന്നും പ്രോസിക്യൂഷന്‍ കോടതിയെ അറിയിച്ചു.  ബലാല്‍സംഗമല്ല അവിഹിതബന്ധം എന്ന് പ്രതിഭാഗവും വാദിച്ചു. ഉഭയ സമ്മതപ്രകാരം ബന്ധം സ്ഥാപിച്ചശേഷം വ്യാജപരാതി നല്‍കിയെന്നും പ്രതിഭാഗം കോടതിയില്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. അറസ്റ്റ് പോലും നിയമവിരുദ്ധം എന്നാണ് പ്രതിഭാഗം വാദം.

The Pathanamthitta District Sessions Court has postponed the verdict on the bail plea of Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil, who is in judicial custody in connection with a third rape case. The prosecution sought scientific verification of an audio recording submitted by the defence, while strongly opposing bail citing the gravity of the charges. The SIT has also moved the court seeking an extension of the remand period. The defence maintains that the case involves a consensual relationship and alleges that the arrest was illegal. The court is scheduled to pronounce its verdict on the bail plea on the 28th of this month.
