പനി ബാധിച്ചു രണ്ടു മാസം മുമ്പ് ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിൽസ തേടിയ പാലക്കാട്‌ നരിക്കുത്തി സ്വദേശി എ.കെ സുൽത്താന് ഇതുവരെ നടക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ആശുപത്രിയിൽ നിന്നു മരുന്ന് നൽകിയതിനു പിന്നാലെ കാലിൽ നീര് കെട്ടി നാളിത്രയായിട്ടും കിടപ്പിലാണ് 71 കാരൻ. ചികിത്സാ പിഴവ് ആരോപിച്ചു മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിക്കടക്കം പരാതി നൽകിയിട്ടും നടപടിയുണ്ടായില്ലെന്ന് സുൽത്താൻ മനോരമന്യൂസിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.

കഴിഞ്ഞ ജൂലൈ 12 നാണ് എ.കെ സുൽത്താനെ പനി ബാധിച്ചു പാലക്കാട്‌ ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചത്. മരുന്ന് നൽകിയതോടെ പെട്ടെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യസ്ഥിതി നന്നേ വഷളായി. ശരീരം തടിച്ചു വന്നു, ശ്വാസം തടസം അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു. ഉടൻ മറ്റൊരു സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. സംഭവമുണ്ടായി രണ്ടു മാസമായിട്ടും സുൽത്താന്റെ അവസ്ഥ ഇതാണ്. നടക്കാൻ പറ്റുന്നില്ല. കാൽ പഴുത്തു തന്നെയാണ്..

കാലിലേക്കുള്ള രക്തയോട്ടം കുറഞ്ഞെന്നാണ് ഡോക്ടർമാർ പറഞ്ഞത്. സംഭവത്തിന്‌ പിന്നാലെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിക്കും ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രിക്കും ജില്ലാ കലക്ടർക്കും പരാതി നൽകി. ഒരു നടപടിയും ഉണ്ടായില്ല. 

ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രി വരുത്തിവെച്ച വിന പരിഹരിക്കാൻ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചെലവാക്കേണ്ടി വന്നത് 1.5 ലക്ഷത്തിനു മുകളിൽ. വൻ സാമ്പത്തിക ബാധ്യത. ഒരു ചികിൽസ പിഴവും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ലെന്നും സുൽത്താന്റെ പരാതി പരിശോധിച്ച് വരികയാണെന്നുമാണ് ആശുപത്രി അധികൃതരുടെ വാദം.

Two months later, Sultan remains bedridden, unable to walk, with severe swelling and restricted blood flow to his legs, according to doctors. Sultan alleges that despite submitting complaints to the Chief Minister, Health Minister, and District Collector, no action has been taken. He says he has already spent over ₹1.5 lakh on private treatment due to complications arising from the alleged error. While the patient’s family insists this was a clear case of treatment failure, district hospital authorities claim that no error occurred and that the complaint is still under review.
