40 ലക്ഷത്തിന്റെ സി എസ് ആർ ഫണ്ട്‌ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് വാങ്ങിയ മൊബൈൽ ഭക്ഷ്യ പരിശോധനാ ലാബ് ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാകാതെ കിടക്കുന്നതിലും കോർപ്പറേഷൻ പഴി കേട്ടിരുന്നു. ഫുഡ് സേഫ്റ്റി വിഭാഗം സഹകരിച്ചാലും ഇല്ലെങ്കിലും നഗരത്തിൽ പരിശോധനകൾ നടത്താനാണ് കോർപ്പറേഷന്റെ തീരുമാനം.

The Mayor of Kochi has alleged negligence on the part of the Food Safety Commissioner regarding food safety inspections in the city. According to Mayor M. Anilkumar, the Food Safety Commissioner was unwilling to even speak on the phone despite being approached for cooperation in conducting inspections. The Mayor informed Manorama News that he will be writing a letter to the Health Minister regarding this issue. This development follows the Kochi Corporation's health department seizing stale food from Kadavanthra that was prepared for distribution on trains, including Vande Bharat. Subsequently, the Mayor attempted to contact the Food Safety Commissioner seeking assistance to intensify inspections in hotels and restaurants within the corporation limits. There is a directive from the Health Minister for the Corporation and the Food Safety Department to work together. The complaint is that despite the Food Safety Department being primarily responsible for seizing stale food, the Commissioner refused to engage in conversation with the Mayor.
