ആലപ്പുഴ ചാരുംമൂട് പേ വിഷബാധയേറ്റ് മരിച്ച 11 വയസ്സുകാരൻ സാവന്  കണ്ണീരോടെ വിട നല്‍കുകയാണ് നാടും വീടും. ചാരുംമൂട്ടിലെ വീട്ടുവളപ്പിൽ പ്രോട്ടോകോൾ അനുസരിച്ചാണ് സംസ്കാരം. തെരുവുനായ ശല്യം രൂക്ഷമായ ചാരുംമൂട്, താമരക്കുളം ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ ജില്ലാ കലക്ടർ ഇടപെട്ട് അടിയന്തരമായി പരിഹാരം കാണണമെന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

മൂന്നുമാസം മുൻപ് സൈക്കിളിൽ പോകുമ്പോഴാണ് വീടിന് മുന്നിലെ റോഡിൽ വച്ച് സാവനെ തെരുവുനായ ആക്രമിച്ചത്. ഗുരുതരാവസ്ഥയിൽ തിരുവല്ലയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ വെന്റിലേറ്ററിൽ തുടരുന്നതിനിടെ ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി എട്ടുമണിക്കായിരുന്നു മരണം. ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 12 മണിയോടെ മൃതദേഹം വീട്ടിലെത്തിച്ചു. നൂറുകണക്കിന് പേർ സാവനെ അവസാനമായി ഒരുനോക്ക് കാണാൻ എത്തി.

പ്രദേശത്ത് ഇപ്പോഴും തെരുവുനായശല്യം രൂക്ഷമാണ്. അടിയന്തര പരിഹാരം കണ്ടില്ലെങ്കിൽ സമരത്തിന് ഇറങ്ങാനാണ് നാട്ടുകാരുടെ തീരുമാനം.

An 11-year-old boy, Savan, from Charummood, Alappuzha, passed away due to rabies infection, sparking grief in his community. Three months ago, a stray dog attacked him while he was riding his bicycle near his home. Despite receiving medical care and being on a ventilator at a private hospital in Thiruvalla, he succumbed to the infection last night at 8 PM. His funeral was conducted following protocol in his house premises. Residents of Charummood and Thamarakulam, where stray dog attacks are frequent, have urged the District Collector to take immediate action. If no solution is implemented, locals are prepared to stage protests demanding urgent measures.
