എല്ലാ പഴുതുകളും അടച്ചിട്ടും ഉപരാഷ്ട്രപതി തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ വോട്ട് ചോർന്നതിന്‍റെ ഞെട്ടലിൽ പ്രതിപക്ഷം.  എഎപി, ശിവസേന എംപിമാരിലേക്കാണ് സംശയം ചെന്നെത്തുന്നത്. NDA  വിജയം ധാർമ്മികവും രാഷ്ട്രീയവുമായ പരാജയമാണെന്നും  പ്രത്യയശാസ്ത്ര പോരാട്ടം തുടരുമെന്നുമാണ് പ്രതിപക്ഷം പറയുന്നത്

ഉപരാഷ്ട്രപതി തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ തികഞ്ഞ ആത്മവിശ്വാസത്തിലായിരുന്നു പ്രതിപക്ഷം.ഫലം വന്നപ്പോൾ തകിടം മറിഞ്ഞു. പ്രതിപക്ഷ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥി സുദർശൻ റെഡ്ഡിക്ക് 300 ഉം എൻഡിഎ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥി സിപി രാധാകൃഷ്ണന് 452 ഉം വോട്ട് . പ്രതിപക്ഷത്ത് 24 എണ്ണത്തിന്‍റെ  കുറവ് പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.

വൈഎസ്ആർ കോൺഗ്രസിന്‍റെ 11 വോട്ടുകൾക്ക് പുറമെ  എൻ‌ഡി‌എയ്ക്ക് 13 വോട്ടുകൾ കൂടി ലഭിച്ചു. വോട്ട് ചോർച്ച ഉണ്ടായത് എഎപി, ശിവസേന ഉദ്ധവ് താക്കറെ എംപിമാർക്കിടയിൽ നിന്നാണ് എന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക വിലയിരുത്തൽ.  ശിവസേന എംപിമാരിൽ ഒരു വിഭാഗം ഏക്നാഥ് ഷിൻഡെ വിഭാഗവുമായി കൈകോർക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. എഎപി എംപിമാരിൽ ചിലർ ബിജെപിയോട് മൃദുസമീപനമാണ് തുടരുന്നത്. 15 വോട്ടുകൾ മനപ്പൂർവ്വം സാധുവാക്കി എന്ന്  വ്യക്തമാണെന്നാണ് നേതാക്കൾ പറയുന്നത്. 

2022 ലെ  തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ 26% വോട്ടുകൾ ലഭിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഇത്തവണ 40%  ലഭിച്ചു എന്നും  NDA  വിജയം ധാർമ്മികവും രാഷ്ട്രീയവുമായ പരാജയമാണെന്നും പ്രതിപക്ഷം  വാദിക്കുന്നു. റെഡ്ഡിക്ക് വോട്ട് ചെയ്യാൻ താല്പര്യമില്ലാത്ത  ബിആർഎസിനെയും ബിജെഡിയെയും വോട്ടെടുപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് വിട്ടുനിൽക്കാൻ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ വിജയം കണ്ടു എന്നും പ്രതിപക്ഷം അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്.

The opposition in India is reeling from a shocking defeat in the Vice Presidential election, where a significant number of their votes were leaked despite all precautions. While the opposition's candidate, Sudarshan Reddy, secured 300 votes, the NDA candidate, C.P. Radhakrishnan, won with 452 votes, a margin of 15 votes more than the expected count. The opposition suspects a vote leak from within its ranks, particularly from Members of Parliament (MPs) of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction). Some MPs from these parties are believed to have intentionally cast invalid votes or switched their allegiance, with some Shiv Sena members reportedly leaning towards the Eknath Shinde faction and some AAP MPs showing a soft corner for the BJP. Despite the setback, the opposition claims a moral and political victory, asserting that they gained a higher vote percentage compared to the last election and successfully persuaded parties like BRS and BJD to abstain from the vote.
