ജോലി കഴിഞ്ഞ് വീട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങുന്നതിനിടെ കെഎസ്ആര്ടിസി ബസ് സ്റ്റാന്ഡിനടുത്ത് യുവതി നില്ക്കവേയാണ് അഞ്ചംഗ സംഘം യുവതിക്കരികിലേക്ക് എത്തിയത്. ബൈക്കിലെത്തിയ സംഘം അസഭ്യം പറയുകയും യുവതിയെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കാന് ശ്രമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇതോടെ ഓടി രക്ഷപെടാന് യുവതി നോക്കി. മുന്നില് വന്ന ടിപ്പറിന് കൈ കാണിച്ച് കയറിയോടെ യുവാക്കള് ലോറിയെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു.
ലോറി ഡ്രൈവറെയും അസഭ്യം പറഞ്ഞു. ഇറക്കി വിടെടാ എന്നാക്രോശിച്ച് പിന്നാലെയെത്തിയതോടെ യുവതി പൊലീസിനെ വിളിച്ചു. മൂവാറ്റുപുഴ പൊലീസ് സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയാണ് യുവതിയെ സുരക്ഷിതയാക്കിയത്. പിന്നാലെ ബൈക്കിലെത്തിയ പ്രതികളെ പൊലീസ് കയ്യോടെ പിടികൂടുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഈസ്റ്റ് മാറാടി സ്വദേശികളായ അജിത്, അദ്വൈത്, ടോമി ഷാജി, അര്ജുന് സനില്, അശ്വിന് രഘു എന്നിവരാണ് പിടിയിലായത്.

Traveling on two motorcycles, the inebriated gang confronted the woman, using highly abusive language and actively attempting to physically assault her. In a desperate bid to escape, she flagged down a passing tipper lorry and climbed into the cabin for safety with the help of a bystander. Undeterred, the criminals relentlessly pursued the heavy truck on their bikes, screaming at the driver to throw her out while banging on the vehicle with metal rods. The woman managed to alert the emergency police helpline from the moving cabin, enabling a patrol squad to safely intercept the truck near Piravom and apprehend all five perpetrators shortly after.
