എറണാകുളം വടുതലയിൽ വാടക വീട്ടിൽ അഞ്ചു പേരെ മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. രണ്ടു സ്ത്രീകളും മൂന്നു കുട്ടികളുമാണ് മരിച്ചത്. രണ്ടു പേർ തൂങ്ങി മരിച്ച നിലയിലായിരുന്നു. അശ്വതിനായര്‍, ശ്രീകുമാരി, കാർണിവൻ (14), കീർത്തവൻ (4), രണ്ട് വയസുള്ള പെൺകുട്ടി എന്നവരാണ് മരിച്ചത് ‌തിരുവനന്തപുരം വിളപ്പില്‍ശാല സ്വദേശികളാണ്. ചികിത്സയുടെ ആവശ്യത്തിനായി വാടകയ്ക്കു വീടെടുത്തവരാണെന്നു പൊലീസ് പറയുന്നു. വീട്ടുടമ വിദേശത്താണ്. 

 

രണ്ടു ദിവസമായി വീട്ടിലുള്ളവരെ പുറത്തു കാണാതിരുന്നതിനെ തുടർന്നു വീട്ടുടമയുടെ ബന്ധു വീടു തുറന്നു പരിശോധിച്ചപ്പോഴാണു മൃതദേഹങ്ങൾ കണ്ടത്. ആത്മഹത്യയെന്നു സംശയിക്കുന്നതായി പൊലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

 

അതേസമയം, അശ്വതിയുടെ ആത്മഹത്യാക്കുറിപ്പ് കണ്ടെത്തി. ഭര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ ആത്മഹത്യ മനോവിഷമമുണ്ടാക്കിയെന്ന് കുറിപ്പില്‍ പറയുന്നു.
