വാഹനമിടിച്ച്  പരുക്കേറ്റ നായയേയും കൊണ്ട് ആശുപത്രി വരാന്തയില്‍ നേരം വെളുപ്പിച്ച് ചെറുപ്പക്കാര്‍. കാലൊടിഞ്ഞ നായയുടെ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ രാത്രി നടക്കാതിരുന്നതാണ് പ്രശ്നമായത്. കൂട്ടിരിപ്പുകാര്‍ വേണമെന്നു ആശുപത്രിക്കാര്‍ ശഠിച്ചതോടെ നാലു പേര്‍ മാറി മാറി നിന്നാണ് നേരം വെളുപ്പിച്ചത്.

ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി കൊല്ലം ഉളിയക്കോവില്‍ വെച്ചായിരുന്നു നായയെ വാഹനമിടിച്ചത്. നായയുടെ കരച്ചില്‍ കേട്ട് ഓടിയെത്തിയ ചെറുപ്പക്കാര്‍ ഇതിനേയും കൊണ്ട് ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തി.

​നായയെ ഏറ്റെടുക്കാന്‍ ആരും തയ്യാറാവാത്തതോടെയാണ് ചെറുപ്പക്കാര്‍ പെട്ടത്. പിന്നീട് നാലു ചെറുപ്പക്കാരും ഈ ഇരുപ്പ് ഇരുന്നു. ​വൈകുന്നേരമായതോടെ മൃഗസംരക്ഷണ വകുപ്പ് തന്നെ നായയെ ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് അഞ്ചാലുംമൂട് മൃഗാശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി

A group of four young men in Kollam showed an inspiring act of humanity by spending an entire night at a veterinary hospital to care for a stray dog injured in a hit-and-run accident. After finding the dog with a broken leg at Uliyakkophil, they rushed it to the hospital. Since the hospital required bystanders to stay with the animal and no one else was willing to take responsibility, the youth stayed back until morning. Eventually, the Animal Husbandry Department took charge and shifted the dog to the Anchalummoodu Veterinary Hospital for further treatment.
