കെഎസ്ആർടിസിയുടെ ആഡംബര ബിസിനസ് ക്ലാസ് ബസ് സർവീസുകൾ ഈ മാസം 13ന് ആരംഭിക്കും. എറണാകുളം - തിരുവനന്തപുരം റൂട്ടിലാണ് ആദ്യ സർവീസ്. ശുചിമുറി, കഫേരിയ, വിമാനത്തിലെ മാതൃകയിലുള്ള ഹോസ്റ്റസ് സേവനം, വൈഫൈ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള സൗകര്യങ്ങളാണ് ഈ ബസുകളിൽ സജ്ജീകരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. എൽഡിഎഫ് സർക്കാരിന്റെ അവസാന കാലത്ത് കെ.ബി. ഗണേഷ് കുമാർ ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രിയായിരുന്ന സമയത്താണ് രണ്ട് ആഡംബര ബസുകൾ വാങ്ങിയത്. 

എന്നാൽ പിന്നീട് അധികാരത്തിൽ വന്ന യുഡിഎഫ് സർക്കാരിന്റെ കാലത്ത് ഈ സർവീസുകൾ ആരംഭിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. തിരുവനന്തപുരം പാപ്പനംകോട് ഡിപ്പോയിൽ വെറുതെ കിടന്ന ബസുകൾക്കെതിരെ വിമർശനങ്ങൾ ഉയർന്നതിനെ തുടർന്നാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ സർവീസുകൾ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. ഓണത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് തിരക്ക് വർധിക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് ഇതിന്റെ പ്രയോജനം ലഭിക്കുമെന്നാണ് കെഎസ്ആർടിസിയുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷ.
