എൽഡിഎഫ് സർക്കാരിന്റെ മാതൃകയിലുള്ള ലോക കേരള സഭ ഇനി തുടരേണ്ടതില്ല എന്നത് യുഡിഎഫിന്റെ അടിയുറച്ച രാഷ്ട്രീയ തീരുമാനമാണെന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഓഫീസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ലോക കേരള സഭ തുടരില്ലെന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഓഫീസ്. എല്ഡിഎഫ് സര്ക്കാര് നടത്തിയത് പോലെയുള്ള ലോകകേരള സഭ തുടരേണ്ട എന്നത് യുഡിഎഫിന്റെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ തീരുമാനമാണെന്നും അതില് മാറ്റമില്ലെന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഓഫീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. ലോക കേരള സഭയുടെ ആറാമത് എഡീഷന് സര്ക്കാര് ഒരു രൂപ പോലും വകയിരുത്തിയിട്ടില്ല.
ലോക കേരള സഭയ്ക്ക് സെക്രട്ടറിയേറ്റില് നിലവില് ഓഫീസുണ്ടെന്നും അവിടുത്തെ ഭരണപരമായ ചിലവുകള്ക്കും നോര്ക്ക വഴി നടത്തുന്ന ബിസിനസ് ലീഡര്ഷിപ്പ് മീറ്റുകള്ക്കുമുള്ള തുക മാത്രമാണ് വകയിരിത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഓഫീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. അതേസമയം ആര്ഭാടമില്ലാതെ ലോകകേരള സഭ നടത്താമെന്ന് കെപിസിസി അധ്യക്ഷന് സണ്ണി ജോസഫ്. വികസന കാര്യങ്ങളില് പ്രവാസികളുടെ പങ്കാളിത്തം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നത് നല്ലതാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
