ആലപ്പുഴ പുന്നമട കായലിൽ ഹൗസ്ബോട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് കായലിൽ വീണ സ്പാ ജീവനക്കാരി മരിച്ചു. തമിഴ്നാട് രാജപാളയം സ്വദേശി ശരണ്യ (34) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. സംഭവവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ബോട്ടിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന അഞ്ച് തമിഴ്നാട് സ്വദേശികളെ ആലപ്പുഴ നോർത്ത് പൊലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തു.

പുന്നമടയിലെ 'ബട്ടർഫ്ലൈ സ്പാ'യിലെ ജീവനക്കാരിയാണ് ശരണ്യ. സ്പാ ജോലിക്കായി സഹപ്രവർത്തകയായ അസം സ്വദേശിനിയായ മറ്റൊരു യുവതിക്കൊപ്പം ശരണ്യ ഹൗസ്ബോട്ടിൽ എത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി 12 മണിയോടെയാണ് അപകടം നടന്നതെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക വിവരം.

അസ്വഭാവിക മരണത്തിന് ആലപ്പുഴ നോർത്ത് പൊലീസ് കേസെടുത്ത് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു. കസ്റ്റഡിയിലുള്ള അഞ്ച് പേരെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തു വരികയാണ്.
