കോന്നി മുന്‍ എംഎല്‍എയും ദേവസ്വം ബോര്‍ഡ് മുന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്‍റുമായ പത്മകുമാര്‍ നവംബര്‍ 20നാണ് ശബരിമലയിലെ സ്വര്‍ണക്കൊള്ളയില്‍ അറസ്റ്റിലായത്. കട്ടിളപ്പാളിക്കേസിലായിരുന്നു അറസ്റ്റ്. ഡിസംബര്‍ രണ്ടിന് ദ്വാരപാലക ശില്‍പത്തിലെ സ്വര്‍ണംകവര്‍ന്ന കേസിലും അറസ്റ്റ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. ശബരിമലയില്‍ നിന്നും സ്വര്‍ണം കവരുന്നതിന് ഒന്നാം പ്രതിയായ ഉണ്ണിക്കൃഷ്ണന്‍ പോറ്റിക്ക് ഒത്താശ ചെയ്തുവെന്നും കൂട്ടുനിന്നതിലൂടെയും കൃത്യവിലോപം നടത്തിയതിലൂടെയും കൊള്ളയ്ക്ക് വഴിയൊരുക്കിയെന്നുമാണ് പത്മകുമാറിനെതിരെ അന്വേഷണ സംഘം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.

നിലവില്‍ ജാമ്യത്തിലാണ് പത്മകുമാര്‍. മൂന്നര മാസത്തോളം ജയിലിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷമാണ് പത്മകുമാര്‍ ജാമ്യത്തിലിറങ്ങിയത്. പാര്‍ട്ടിയെ ഗുരുതര പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലാക്കിയിട്ടും പത്മകുമാറിനെ പുറത്താക്കാതിരുന്നതില്‍ വലിയ അമര്‍ഷം അണികളും ഉയര്‍ത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഒടുവിലാണ് പത്മകുമാറിനെതിരെ പാര്‍ട്ടി നടപടിക്ക് ഒരുങ്ങിയത്. നടപടി ചർച്ച ചെയ്യാൻ പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലാ കമ്മിറ്റിക്കാണ് ചുമതല. പത്മകുമാറിനെ പാർട്ടി പരിപാടികളിൽ നിന്ന് മാറ്റി നിർത്താൻ മാത്രമായിരുന്നു ഇതുവരെയുള്ള നിർദ്ദേശം. അടുത്തിടെ പത്മകുമാർ പാർട്ടി അംഗത്വം പുതുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്നാല്‍ നടപടി പരാമര്‍ശിക്കാതെ പറ്റില്ലെന്ന് സിപിഎം സംസ്ഥാന കമ്മിറ്റി നിലപാടെടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
