ഇടുക്കി കരിങ്കുന്നത്തിന് സമീപം പ്ലാന്റേഷനിൽ ബസ് മറിഞ്ഞ് 12 പേർക്ക് പരുക്ക്. തൃശൂരിൽ നിന്നെത്തിയ ശബരിമല തീർഥാടകർ സഞ്ചരിച്ച ബസാണ് മറിഞ്ഞത്. പരുക്കേറ്റവരെ തൊടുപുഴയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു.
ശബരിമലയിൽ ദർശനം നടത്തി തിരികെ മടങ്ങുമ്പോഴാണ് ബസ് നിയന്ത്രണം വിട്ട് മറിഞ്ഞത്. തൊടുപുഴയിൽ നിന്ന് അഗ്നിശമനസേനയെത്തി രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനം നടത്തി. പരുക്കേറ്റ രണ്ടുപേരുടെ നില ഗുരുതരമാണ്.
ENGLISH SUMMARY:
A bus carrying Sabarimala pilgrims overturned near Karinkunnam in Idukki district, injuring twelve people. The pilgrims were returning after darshan at the hill shrine when the bus lost control and met with the accident. All the injured were shifted to a private hospital in Thodupuzha for medical treatment. Fire and rescue services from Thodupuzha carried out swift rescue operations at the accident site. The condition of two injured pilgrims remains critical, according to hospital sources.
