തിരുവല്ല ഷുഗർ ഫാക്ടറിയുടെ പഴയ കെട്ടിടത്തിലാണ് പുളിക്കീഴ് പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷൻ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്. സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ ലോക്കപ്പ് സൗകര്യമില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ പ്രതികളെ തറയിൽ ഉറപ്പിച്ച കൊളുത്തിൽ കൈവിലങ്ങിട്ട് സൂക്ഷിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കൊളുത്ത് ഇളക്കിമാറ്റിയാണ് പ്രതി ചാടിപ്പോയത്.

ബന്ധുവായ കുട്ടിയെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചെന്ന പരാതിയിലാണ് പ്രതിയെ പൊലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തത്. കുട്ടിയെ വൈദ്യ പരിശോധനയ്ക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയ സമയത്ത് പ്രതിയെ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ കസ്റ്റഡിയിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പ്രതിക്കായി പൊലീസ് തിരച്ചിൽ തുടരുകയാണ്.

Since the station operates without a proper lockup facility in its old building, the suspect was handcuffed to an iron hook fixed on the floor. However, he managed to dismantle the anchor hook and flee before the on-duty guard could catch him despite a brief chase. Authorities had detained him following a complaint of sexually abusing a relative, and an intensive search is currently underway to apprehend the fugitive.
