കൊല്ലം കടയ്ക്കലിൽ ഒന്‍പതാം ക്ലാസുകാരി പ്രസവിച്ച സംഭവത്തിൽ അമ്മയുടെ സുഹൃത്ത് അറസ്റ്റിൽ. ആശുപത്രി അധികൃതർ വിവരം നൽകിയതിനെ തുടർന്നാണ് പീഡനവിവരം പുറത്തറിയുന്നതും പോലീസ് നടപടിയെടുക്കുന്നതും. കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ടുവർഷമായി പീഡനത്തിന് ഇരയായിരുന്നെന്ന് കുട്ടി പോലീസിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു. 

അമ്മ വീട്ടിലില്ലാത്ത സമയങ്ങളിൽ പ്രതി സ്ഥിരമായി ഉപദ്രവിച്ചിരുന്നെന്നാണ് കുട്ടിയുടെ മൊഴി. കണ്ണൂർ സ്വദേശിയായ പ്രതിയെ വാഗമണ്ണിലെ ഒരു ഹോട്ടലിൽ നിന്നാണ് പോലീസ് പിടികൂടിയത്. കുട്ടിയുടെ അച്ഛൻ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുപോയതിന് ശേഷമാണ് ഇയാൾ അമ്മയോടൊപ്പം താമസം തുടങ്ങിയത്. പ്രതിയെ കടയ്ക്കൽ പോലീസിന് കൈമാറി.
