കോതമംഗലം നഗരസഭ ആരോഗ്യ സ്റ്റാൻഡിങ് കമ്മറ്റി ചെയർമാനും സിപിഎം ലോക്കൽ കമ്മറ്റി അംഗവുമായ കെ.വി.തോമസ് പോക്സോ കേസിൽ അറസ്റ്റിൽ. പെൺകുട്ടിയുടെ മൊഴി പ്രകാരമാണ് കോതമംഗലം പോലീസ് തോമസിനെതിരെ കേസെടുത്തത്. അറസ്റ്റിന് പിന്നാലെ തോമസിനെ പാർട്ടിയുടെ പ്രാഥമിക അംഗത്വത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കിയെന്ന് സിപിഎം അറിയിച്ചു. മുനിസിപ്പൽ കൗൺസിൽ സ്ഥാനം രാജിവയ്ക്കാനും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതായി സിപിഎം കോതമംഗലം ഏരിയ സെക്രട്ടറി കെ എ ജോയി അറിയിച്ചു.
