പത്തനംതിട്ട പമ്പ ആശുപത്രിയില് ഗുരുതര ചികില്സാപ്പിഴവെന്ന് ആരോപണം. കാലിലെ മുറിവിന് ചികില്സ തേടിയെത്തിയ ശബരിമല തീര്ഥാടകയായ നെടുമ്പാശ്ശേരി സ്വദേശി പ്രീതയ്ക്കാണ് ദുരനുഭവമുണ്ടായത്. പ്രീതയുടെ കാലിലെ മുറിവിനുള്ളില് സര്ജിക്കല് ബ്ലേഡ് വച്ച് തുന്നിക്കെട്ടുകയായിരുന്നു. സംഭവത്തില് പത്തനംതിട്ട ഡിഎംഒയ്ക്ക് പ്രീത പരാതി നല്കി.
പന്തളത്ത് നിന്ന് തിരുവാഭരണഘോഷയാത്രയോടൊപ്പം അയിരൂര് വരെ പദയാത്രയായാണ് പ്രീത സഞ്ചരിച്ചത്. ദീര്ഘനേരം നടന്നതോടെ കാല്പാദത്തില് രണ്ട് ചെറിയ കുമിളകള് പോലെ ആദ്യം കണ്ടു. ഇതോടെ യാത്ര അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച് പമ്പയിലേക്ക് പോകാന് തീരുമാനിച്ചു. കാല് ഡ്രസ് ചെയ്താല് മാത്രമേ മുന്നോട്ട് നടക്കാന് പറ്റുകയുള്ളൂവെന്നായതോടെ ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തി. അവിടെ നിന്നും ചികില്സ തേടിയ ശേഷം സന്നിധാനത്തെത്തി ദര്ശനം നടത്തി തിരികെ ഇറങ്ങി. ഒന്നുകൂടി ഡ്രസ് ചെയ്യാന് വീണ്ടും ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തി. നഴ്സുമാരുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. നഴ്സിങ് അസിസ്റ്റന്റാണ് ആശുപത്രിയില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. കാല് വെള്ളക്കെട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് ഇത് കുത്തിക്കീറുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്നും തുടര്ന്ന് ഡ്രസ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് സര്ജിക്കല് ബ്ലേഡ് ഉള്ളിലായതെന്നും പ്രീത പറയുന്നു.

A serious case of medical negligence has been reported at the Pamba Government Hospital, where a surgical blade was allegedly left inside a Sabarimala pilgrim's foot during treatment. Preetha, a devotee from Nedumbassery, sought medical help for blisters on her feet after participating in the Thiruvabharanam procession. According to the complainant, a nursing assistant at the hospital performed a minor procedure in the absence of nurses, during which a portion of a surgical blade got stuck inside the wound and was subsequently stitched over. The incident came to light after she experienced severe pain and consulted a hospital in Angamaly, where the blade was discovered through an X-ray. Preetha has filed a formal complaint with the Pathanamthitta District Medical Officer (DMO) seeking action against the responsible staff. This incident has raised concerns about the quality of emergency medical care provided to thousands of pilgrims at Sabarimala.
