തമിഴ്നാട് നീലഗിരി ബിദർക്കാടിൽ കാട്ടാന ആക്രമണത്തിൽ മലയാളി കർഷകൻ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. ചന്തക്കുന്ന് പ്രദേശത്ത് താമസിക്കുന്ന ജോയ് ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി എട്ട് മണിയോടെയാണ് സംഭവം. സമീപത്തെ കാപ്പിതോട്ടത്തിലൂടെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് നടന്നു പോകുംവഴിയാണ് കാട്ടാന ആക്രമിച്ചത്. വനമേഖലയോട് ചേർന്ന ഇവിടം കാട്ടാന ഇറങ്ങുന്ന പ്രദേശമാണ്. ജോയിയുടെ മൃതദേഹം പന്തല്ലൂർ സർക്കാർ ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി.
