കര്ണാടകയെ ഞെട്ടിച്ചു വീണ്ടും തോക്കുചൂണ്ടി ജ്വല്ലറിക്കൊള്ള. വിജയനഗര ജില്ലയിലെ ഹലസംഗയില് ഇന്നലെയാണ് മുഖമൂടി സംഘം തോക്കുമായി ജ്വല്ലറിയിലേക്ക് ഇരച്ചുകയറിയത്. 205 ഗ്രാം സ്വര്ണവും ഒരു കിലോ വെള്ളിയും കവര്ന്നു.
ഇന്നലെ വൈകീട്ടു നാലരയോടായണു ഹലസംഗയിലെ ജ്വല്ലറി കൊള്ളയടിച്ചത്. മുഖം മാസ്കു കൊണ്ടു മറച്ചു ഹെല്മെറ്റണിഞ്ഞ രണ്ടുപേര് ഇരുചക്രവാഹനത്തിലാണെത്തിയത്. ജ്വല്ലറിക്കകത്തു കയറിയ ഉടനെ ഒരാള് ഉടമയെ ക്ലോസ് റേഞ്ചില് നിര്ത്തി ആഭരണങ്ങളെടുക്കാന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. രണ്ടാമന് ജ്വല്ലറിക്കകത്തേക്ക് ആളുകള് വരുന്നില്ലെന്നുറപ്പിക്കാനായി പ്രധാന വാതിലില് കാവല് നിന്നു. ഈസമയം ബഹളം കേട്ടെത്തിയ തൊട്ടടുത്തുള്ള മൊബൈല് കടയിലെ ജീവനക്കാരന് തോക്കുചൂണ്ടിനില്ക്കുന്നതു ഫോണില് പകര്ത്താന് ശ്രമിച്ചു.
ഇതുകണ്ട കൊള്ള സംഘം വെടിയുതിര്ത്തു. ഒഴിഞ്ഞു മാറിയതോടെ ഇതേ കടയിലെ ജീവനക്കാരനായ 19കാരന്റെ കാലിലാണു വെടിയുണ്ട തുളഞ്ഞുകയറിത്. നൊടിയിടകൊണ്ടു സംഘം 205 ഗ്രാം സ്വര്ണവും ഒരുകിലോ വെള്ളിയുമായി ഇരുചക്രവാഹനത്തില് രക്ഷപെടുകയും ചെയ്തു. വിവരമറിഞ്ഞെത്തിയ പൊലീസ് വ്യാപക തിരച്ചില് നടത്തിയെങ്കിലും കൊള്ളക്കരെ കണ്ടെത്താനായില്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞ സെപ്റ്റംബറില് ഹലസംഗയില് നിന്നു കിലോമീറ്ററുകള് മാത്രം അകലെയുള്ള ചടച്ചനില് സമാന രീതിയില് തോക്കുധാരികളായ കൊള്ള സംഘം എസ്.ബി.ഐ. ബാങ്കിലേക്ക് ഇരച്ചുകയറി 20 കിലോ സ്വര്ണവും ഒന്നരകോടി രൂപയും കൊള്ളയടിച്ചിരുന്നു.
