ഇടുക്കി തൊടുപുഴയിൽ ഭിന്നശേഷിക്കാരനായ മകനെ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തി പിതാവ് ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തു. കുളമാവ് സ്വദേശി ഉൻമേഷ്, മൂന്നരവയസുകാരൻ മകൻ ദേവ് എന്നിവരാണ് മരിച്ചത്. കാഞ്ഞിരമറ്റത്ത് വാടകയ്ക്ക് താമസിക്കുന്ന വീട്ടിൽ വച്ചാണ് സംഭവം. മകനെ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയ ശേഷം ഉൻമേഷ് ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തെന്നാണ് പൊലീസിന്റെ പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമാനം. ഇരുവരുടെയും മൃതദേഹം വാടക വീടിനുള്ളിലെ മുറിയിൽ തൂങ്ങിയ നിലയിലായിരുന്നു. ഉൻമേഷിന്റെ ഭാര്യ ശില്പ ജോലി കഴിഞ്ഞ് വീട്ടിലെത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് മരണം പുറത്തറിഞ്ഞത്.

A tragic incident has unfolded in Thodupuzha, Idukki, where a father allegedly killed his differently-abled son and later died by suicide. The deceased have been identified as Unmesh, a native of Kulamavu, and his three-and-a-half-year-old son Dev.
